The agreement between you and OVVA s.r.o. when you use Reveal.

Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Reveal application ("the App"), website, or any services provided by OVVA s.r.o. ("we," "us," or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.

02.

Description of Service

Reveal is a fitness tracking and exploration application designed to help you track your workouts, visualize your explored territories, and compare your journeys with historical explorers. The App allows users to:

  • Record and import fitness routes and activities from GPS devices and third-party services
  • Visualize explored territories on an interactive map with fog-of-war mechanics
  • Compare routes with historical explorer journeys
  • Earn achievements and track exploration statistics
  • Share experiences with the Reveal community
  • Integrate with third-party fitness and activity tracking services

Health and Fitness Disclaimer

Reveal is a fitness tracking and exploration application, not a medical device. The app is intended for recreational and fitness purposes only.

Important:

  • We do not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment
  • GPS accuracy varies by device, environment, and signal conditions. We are not responsible for inaccurate location data, missing route segments, or incorrect distance/elevation calculations
  • Always consult a qualified healthcare professional before beginning any exercise program, especially if you have pre-existing health conditions
  • Use caution when recording routes in unfamiliar, remote, or hazardous areas. We are not responsible for injuries, accidents, or dangerous situations that may arise during your activities
  • Do not use the app while operating vehicles or in situations requiring your full attention

By using Reveal, you acknowledge that physical activity carries inherent risks and you assume full responsibility for your safety.

02.2

Service Limitations

Reveal depends on third-party services and technologies beyond our control:

  • GPS and Location Services: Provided by your device and operating system. Accuracy and availability depend on satellite signal, terrain, weather, and device hardware
  • Map Data: Provided by OpenStreetMap. Map accuracy, completeness, and availability are not guaranteed
  • Reverse Geocoding:Provided by Nominatim. Location names (e.g., "Bratislava, SK") are approximate and may be inaccurate
  • Third-Party Integrations:Strava, Google, and other integrations are subject to those services' availability, terms, and API limits. We are not responsible for disruptions caused by third-party changes

We do not guarantee uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free service. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue features with reasonable notice.

Health Data Processing

Reveal does not generate or collect health data from your device sensors. We do not have access to your smartwatch, fitness band, or phone sensors for heart rate, blood oxygen, or other biometric measurements.

When you upload workout files (GPX, FIT, TCX) or import activities from third-party services (such as Strava) that were created by other apps or devices (smartwatches, bike computers, fitness trackers), those files may contain health-related data including heart rate, power, and cadence.

By uploading such a file to Reveal, you represent and warrant that:

  • You have the right to upload and share this data
  • You understand that Reveal will process any health data contained within the uploaded file for the purpose of displaying and analyzing your workout activities
  • You consent to our processing of this health data as described in our Privacy Policy
  • You understand that Reveal is not a medical device and health data displayed is for informational and recreational purposes only
  • You will not use Reveal health data for self-diagnosis or medical decision-making without consulting a qualified healthcare professional

Processing of health data requires your explicit consent under GDPR Article 9, which is collected separately from your general account registration and location data consent. You can withdraw this consent at any time in your account settings.

03.

Third-Party Integrations

Reveal integrates with third-party services to enhance your experience. When you connect third-party accounts (such as Strava, Google), you authorize us to access certain data from those services as described in our Privacy Policy. You acknowledge that:

  • Third-party integrations are subject to the terms and policies of those third-party services
  • We are not responsible for the actions, content, or policies of third-party services
  • Disruptions or changes to third-party services may affect the functionality of related Reveal features
  • You can disconnect third-party integrations at any time through your account settings
  • Revoking access to third-party services may limit certain features of Reveal

By connecting a third-party service, you represent that you have the right to authorize us to access and use your data from that service in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

04.

User Accounts

To use certain features of the App, you may need to create an account. You are responsible for:

  • Providing accurate and complete information when creating your account
  • Maintaining the security of your account credentials
  • All activities that occur under your account
  • Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account

User Content

You retain ownership of any content you submit, post, or display through the App ("User Content"). By submitting User Content, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, and display such content in connection with providing and promoting the App.

You are solely responsible for your User Content and the consequences of posting it. You represent and warrant that:

  • You own or have the necessary rights to use and authorize us to use your User Content
  • Your User Content does not violate the rights of any third party
  • Your User Content complies with these Terms and all applicable laws

Public Routes and Community Features

When you mark a workout or route as public, you grant Reveal a license to:

  • Display your route on public leaderboards, community maps, and exploration challenges
  • Show your profile name, avatar, and activity statistics alongside the route
  • Use anonymized or aggregated route data for features like "most popular trails" or heatmaps

You are responsible for ensuring:

  • Public routes do not reveal the precise location of your private residence or sensitive locations unless you intend to share them
  • You have the right to record and share routes on public or private land
  • Public content does not violate the rights of others (e.g., privacy, intellectual property)

You can change a route's visibility from public to private at any time in your account settings. Changing visibility does not retroactively remove data that others may have already viewed or saved.

Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Use the App for any illegal purpose or in violation of any laws
  • Post or transmit harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable content
  • Impersonate any person or entity or falsely state your affiliation with a person or entity
  • Interfere with or disrupt the App or servers or networks connected to the App
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the App
  • Use the App to collect or store personal data about other users without their consent
  • Use the App in any manner that could damage, disable, overburden, or impair the App

Intellectual Property

The App and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by OVVA s.r.o. and are protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property or proprietary rights laws.

08.

Privacy

Our Privacy Policy, available at privacy, describes how we collect, use, and share information about you when you use our App. By using the App, you agree to the collection, use, and sharing of your information as described in the Privacy Policy.

09.

Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the App immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including if you breach these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the App will immediately cease.

10.

Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted or error-free, that defects will be corrected, or that the App is free of viruses or other harmful components.

11.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event shall OVVA s.r.o., its directors, employees, partners, agents, suppliers, or affiliates be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from your access to or use of or inability to access or use the App.

12.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will provide at least 30 days' notice prior to any new terms taking effect. What constitutes a material change will be determined at our sole discretion.

13.

Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Slovakia, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

For consumers resident in the European Union, you also benefit from any mandatory provisions of the law of the country in which you are resident. Nothing in these Terms affects your rights as a consumer to rely on such mandatory provisions.

Any disputes shall first be attempted to be resolved amicably. If unresolved, disputes shall be submitted to the competent courts of Bratislava, Slovakia, without prejudice to your right to bring proceedings in your country of residence under EU consumer protection law.

14.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable under any applicable law, such provision shall be excluded and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect. The invalid provision shall be replaced by a valid provision that most closely achieves the original intent.
